Wide application range: It can be used for medium level detection in various equipment such as towers, tanks, troughs, spherical containers and boilers. It is suitable for various environments from low temperature to high temperature, vacuum to high pressure, and can measure liquids with different viscosities, densities and corrosivities, including corrosive media such as acids, alkalis and salts.
How it works
Working principle: It is developed based on the principle of buoyancy and magnetic coupling. When the liquid level in the measured container rises or falls, the magnetic float in the main tube of the liquid level gauge rises or falls accordingly. The permanent magnet inside the float is transmitted to the magnetic flip column indicator through magnetic coupling, driving the red and white flip columns to flip 180°. When the liquid level rises, the flip columns change from white to red; when the liquid level drops, the flip columns change from red to white. The boundary between red and white on the indicator represents the actual height of the liquid level inside the container, thus achieving a clear indication of the liquid level.
Structural composition
Main body: As the main part of the liquid level gauge, it is usually a sealed tubular structure that houses components such as the magnetic float. It is connected to the measured container to keep the internal liquid level consistent with that in the container.
Flip plate box: Composed of small red and white magnetic flip plates, it is the main component for liquid level display. Through the magnetic coupling effect of the magnetic float, the flip plates flip when the liquid level changes, and intuitively display the liquid level height through the combination of different colors.
Float: As the core measuring element of the liquid level gauge, it is usually a hollow cylinder with a permanent magnet inside. The density of the float is less than that of the measured liquid, allowing it to move up and down with the rise and fall of the liquid level.
Flange cover: Used to connect the main body of the liquid level gauge to the measured container, it plays a role in sealing and fixing, ensuring a tight connection between the liquid level gauge and the container and preventing liquid leakage.
Excellent sealing performance: It achieves high sealing and leakage prevention. The measured medium is completely isolated from the indicating structure, enabling safe and reliable liquid level measurement under harsh conditions such as high pressure, high temperature, and strong corrosion. This avoids potential safety hazards and environmental pollution caused by medium leakage.
Clear and intuitive indication: Integrating on-site indication, remote transmission, and alarm control switches, it features dual-color indication with night light, ensuring continuous, intuitive, and eye-catching display. With a large measurement range, adjustable observation directions, and no blind spots throughout the measurement process, it allows operators to clearly read liquid level information from different positions and under various light conditions.
Good vibration resistance: It can adapt to situations with large liquid level fluctuations. In industrial production, even if the equipment has a certain degree of vibration or liquid level fluctuation, the magnetic flip liquid level gauge can still work stably, measuring and displaying the liquid level accurately.
Low maintenance cost: With a simple structure and easy installation, it does not require complex installation and commissioning processes. The daily maintenance workload is small, requiring only regular inspection and cleaning, thus reducing the operating cost.
Technical features
Installation location: It should be kept away from or avoid the inlet and outlet of the material medium to prevent the rapid changes in the local area of the material fluid from affecting the accuracy of liquid level measurement. No magnetically conductive objects are allowed near the main body; otherwise, the accurate operation of the liquid level gauge will be directly affected. The installation must be vertical to ensure that the float assembly can move freely up and down in the main tube.
Installation method: For liquid measurement, top-mounted or bypass pipe side-mounted methods can be adopted. For liquid level gauges exceeding a certain length (ordinary type > 3 meters, anti-corrosion type > 2 meters), intermediate reinforcing flanges or lugs need to be added for fixed support to enhance strength and overcome their own weight.
Installation of supporting instruments: When equipped with remote supporting instruments, the zero position of the remote supporting instrument should be at the same horizontal line as the zero position indicator of the liquid level gauge. The connecting wires between the remote supporting instrument and the display instrument or industrial computer should preferably be laid through a separate protective tube or with a shielded two-core cable. The remote supporting instrument should be closely attached to the main pipe of the liquid level gauge and fixed with stainless steel hoops, and the sensing surface on the remote supporting instrument should face and be closely attached to the main pipe.
Usage and maintenance: The medium should not contain solid impurities or magnetic substances to avoid jamming the float. Before use, calibration magnets should be used to set the balls below the zero position to red, and the other balls to white. Depending on the condition of the medium, the main pipe of the magnetic flap level gauge should be cleaned irregularly to remove impurities.
